Projet secteur Champ-de-Mars

The redesign projects for this sector include the areas around Square Viger, the Champ-de-Mars metro station and city hall and its administrative buildings, located in the north of Old Montréal.

The vision for the Champ-de-Mars area is a crossroads between the old city and the modern city. In 2017, a new public space will be designed around the Champ-de-Mars metro station.

Extending this crossroads eastwards, a project that was begun with the Quartier international de Montréal, will enhance a network of quality public spaces between Square Victoria and Square Viger.

This vision is a result of the civic participation process that was begun in 2014 based on a number of studies conducted by the city as part of the Champ-de-Mars project.
