A look back at the public consultation

This past fall, the participatory process set up by the Borough aimed to find out about the community's needs and aspirations. It included a range of activities during which residents had the opportunity to find out more and play an active role in shaping the future of the Newman sector.

Many thanks to those who took part in the various stages of the process.

Online survey - October 17 – November 6, 2024

Nearly 350 people responded to the survey. The results have enabled us to put forward a vision and development guidelines for the Newman sector.

Virtual public workshop – November 13, 2024

At this workshop, the participants had the chance to learn more about the development project for the Newman sector. Two proposed options were presented to stimulate discussion. Residents were able to voice their impressions, ask questions and share their ideas and concerns.

Open House – November 18, 2024

LaSalle residents were invited to an Open House at the L'Octogone library to learn more about the Newman project. They had the opportunity to discuss the proposed development options with representatives of the Borough and the Lemay firm.

A summary report on the participatory process will be published shortly. Keep an eye out for it!
