    Install bike parking lots near busy locations in five boroughs. These include such places as community centres, sports centres, arenas, libraries or cultural centres. This new equipment will encourage citizens to opt for biking as a means of transportation to and from their recreational activities in their neighborhood.

    Improve the appearance of the Plateau-Mont-Royal overpass by adding vegetation and vines along the walls, colorful murals, as well as street lighting in the darker areas. The circuit will thus be more enjoyable for pedestrians and bikers who use the overpass.

    Renovate the chalet in Parc Ménard, in LaSalle borough, to transform it into a more welcoming and more versatile facility for a variety of social, educational and recreational activities, namely surrounding the theme of food. Outdoor developments will also create venues for seasonal markets, or community cooking and gardening workshops, as well as other activities held by local community organizations.

    Develop or preserve areas in the city where residents can plant gardens to grow their own fruits, vegetables and edible plants. Depending on the location, the project will include the following:

    - a greenhouse with multi-purpose rooms
    - a community or collective garden open to all
    These facilities could also be used for educational panels and gardening workshops for people to meet and learn about urban agriculture.

    Create a biodiversity circuit in Verdun, linked to the existing ecological corridors in the greater Sud-Ouest area. The population will have access to areas to rest and enjoy nature in the city. Additionally, the circuit will provide shelter for insects, small mammals and birds to travel and to survive in an urban setting.

    Add landscaping to improve the appearance of certain street segments or intersections. This will foster plant, insect and bird diversity in highly mineralized areas. Residents’ quality of life will also improve through the reduction of heat islands in the city.
